I used to be perfect just the way I was. But back then I thought I was FAT, which made me depressed. So depressed that I let myself go. And then I was fat for real.

Then a few years ago, I lost (most of) the weight. I was happy, healthy, energetic, and felt good about myself. But that didn't last long. I got lazy. And I gained it all back.

Now I am on a journey, a life-long journey, not just to lose the weight but to get healthy. And stay healthy. Forever.

Fitness Minutes: 555

My Goals:
Lose 50 lbs by October 2011

Be able to run 10 miles

Work out at least 3 times every week

Eat my veggies!

Record three "blessings" everyday

Reward myself by putting $1 into my weight loss fund for each day that I meet my goals.

My Program:
I really want to make this a lifestyle change rather than a diet, so I don't plan to restrict the foods I eat, other than trying to stay within the calorie limit and nutritional guidelines posted on Sparkpeople. I also will try to make healthy choices, opting for lower fat or reduced calorie items whenever possible and limiting portion sizes. Finally, I want to focus on getting enough fruits and vegetables into my diet since that is something I've struggled with in the past.

For exercise, I plan to strength train 3x's per week (to be replaced with Yoga when my gym membership expires). And do some form of Cardio 3xs per week: dancing, biking, jogging, eliptical, etc. Finally I will get out and walk more! I live in the city so I generally walk around 40mins a day.
