update: October 2014. I have gained much of my weight back. I got over 300lbs. again. I am under 300 right now, but I want to lose 80 lbs. I put 65 down as my goal, but truth be told I want to lose 80lbs. I am much happier now. I got divorced, and found a new girl who is amazing. She like to lift heavy weights. Yay me. I know there are amazing period on here all the time. Some of my old friends from here don''t get on here any longer. I would like to meet some new people who are active and would help encourage me. I will give advice/encouragement from my end in return.I just need some motivation again. When I lived with my parents, they took me to restaurants with few healthy options. I made some bad choices. It was just serious temptation. I also work long hours (like 14-16 hours per day) so I am tired and I don''t always have the motivation to exercise. I am working my way back slowly. I am trying to document this journey. If you can help I would be very grateful. Last but not least... I would like to thank all of those who helped me get through a very tough time. I am completely reborn. My life is nothing like it was. I wouldn''t change a thing. Many of you sparkers helped me get there. I need those that are still here to help me on my next journey and to add a few new ones as well.

Fitness Minutes: 1,964

My Goals:
I want to get in better shape. I hope to keep my diabetes, blood pressure, cholesterol, weight, and overall fitness under control. I would also like to fit into a size 34 inch waist! I don't care how much I weigh if I can get to a 34. (at least that is what I am trying to convince myself.


My Program:
I started dieting and exercising in January 2008. I did Richard Simmons tapes and ab workouts. I Started Body for Life and ate and exercised according to that. I worked great. I wanted to do Insanity w/o after watching the infomercial. I have done two 60 programs, and I am doing random Insanity w/o right now. I feel great. High protein -low carb diet. Lots of fruit.



Personal Information:
I love music. I use heavy metal music to fuel my workouts. I also enjoy classic rock, 80's pop, and hair metal. I have learned to like a few new bands like Disturbed, Slipknot, and Mudvayne. I love movies. I especially love action movies. Clint Eastwood and Michael Douglas are two of my favorites. I also like comedies that star: Jim Carey, Mike Meyers, and Vince Vaughn.


Other Information:
My name is Matthew McCright I grew up in Iowa and we moved to Oklahoma when I was 10 years old. I loved to play outside and ride bikes as a kid. I played little league baseball and high school baseball. I played one season of little league football and played for the school in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade. I got tired of the running, so I didn't play football after that. I tried to play colleg baseball, but I wasted that time away and stopped playing. I got fat after my freshman year and then lost weight the wrong way. I was not eating enough food and overtraining. I got skinny. That is what I thought I wanted. I was miserable, but I thought I was looking good doing it! I got married and settled into the lazy over eating under active lifestyle and balooned up to 329 lbs. That was my highest recorded weight. I didn't weigh myself, that was the weight recorded at my Jan 2007 annual check up at work. It probably got higher later in the year. I started my program Jan 2008.
