Hi my name is Monika. I am 55 years old and I need to get with it. I lost 15 lbs a year and a half ago and gained it back and more. I basically would like to lead a healthy lifestyle and not eat to just eat. So this is my new adventure. Wish me luck!!! I am in Phase II now. I have about 10 lbs left to lose . I know this is going to the hardest time so I am going to continue to eat healthy and exercise regularly. I began switching up my exercise to intense walking on the treadmill along with strength training and cycle. I have met so many amazing people here I recently lost my beloved Lab Ranger and you guys were so supportive Thank you. Blessings to all of you Let's continue to live a healthy , happy, and peaceful lifestyle. We can do this!!! Update July 20 2017. I met my goal of 150. I have one goal left and that would be to reach my ideal weight of 145 and then to maintain this healthier lifestyle. You have been so great my Spark community. I have made so many friends and I love this community and what it stands for. Praise God and blessing tos to everyone!! Update 10/21/17 I finally hi reached my goal of 145. Thank you forget all the support. The task now is to maintain the 145 and not regain. Blessings to Spark community you are the best group of people ๐Ÿ’ซNovember 8, 2017 I am 56 today. I feel strong and healthy. I'm so blessed. Praise God. Thx Spark community ๐Ÿ™‚ for all your support Update: Feb. 15, 2019 I have gained almost 10 pounds since Thanksgiving. At first I didn't care. I gained a couple of pounds at a time.. then bam.. It has always been so hard for me to lose weight since I quit smoking 9 yes ago. It has been rough. I know better. I'm back in track with my eating and exercise. Spark community ๐Ÿ™‚ has helped me refocus. Let's keep Sparking. Blessings to everyone ๐ŸŒž.

    I went to evening Mass & later on doing research for articles. Going to work late then exercise before bed. My writer's sedentary life has made me gain a size larger. Not good.

    Keep healthy foods in sight. Store colorful fruits and vegetables where you can see them, like on the counter or in clear containers within the fridge. If you see them, you will eat them more often.
