Note to Self:
Going on the No Sugar-No Flour diet for Lent has helped me curb my sugar cravings, which were through the roof! Now, I can see desserts and candy and pass them up without a problem. We keep a BIG bowl of peppermints out at all times and Hubby is addicted to them. I admit that I have eaten them without thinking lots of times. I am tracking my food and always keep the calories below the top recommended amount. Portion control is another thing I need to watch carefully. I need to look for more ...

I am tracking my food and always keep the calories below the top recommended amount. Portion control is another thing I need to watch carefully. I need to look for more ways to tighten up and keep the calories below 1200 because that's the only way I can lose. Also, I need to walk and exercise more because this is an area that I tend to avoid.

My Goals:
Eat small portions, walk, exercise and reach my ideal weight. Track my food and keep my calories under 1200 a day.
My Program:
I am trying to eliminate simple Sugars and all Flour from my diet.
Personal Information:
I am a Christian lady married to my childhood sweetheart, who is a retired United Methodist Pastor. We are enjoying some of the things we couldn't while we were working. We are still 'newly weds' but before this marriage, we both had long and happy first marriages until we both lost our spouses in 2004. We are thankful to God for bringing us together. We look forward to each day and try to give God praise and thanks for all the many ways He has blessed us.
Other Information:
I worked as a secretary/bookkeeper from the time I was in high school until I retired. Now, I wonder how I managed to work 8 hours a day for all those years and do all the housework at home, too!
