I saw an article in the paper last week about a woman who lost over 100lbs using the Sparks program so here I am hoping to stay motivated and use many of the tools the Sparks program has to offer.

I'm getting ready for my youngest daughter's wedding and designated myself as the wedding coordinator. I'm interested in photography and have a small studio, I love scrapbooking and have turned my extra bedroom into my craft room. Also love gardening.

HISTORY: Throughout most of life I was fairly slim. Then about 2003 I started putting on weight, at first due to medication, stress eating and my age (I'm 61). My all time high was 194lbs back in 2005. I lost 40lbs back around 2009. Then the weight crepted back up. Last May I weighed 185lbs. I saw a picture of myself at my daughter's college graduation last May and realized I had to lose weight.

I joined a fitness club and started using an APP called "My Fitness Pal". In Septembter I hired a fitness trainer and was down around 20lbs by last October. Then my husband hurt his back in November and I had to wait on him hand and foot for two monthe. Between the holidays, doing all the cooking and not being able to work out, plus stress eating I put at least 9lbs back down.

This February I was able to start working out again and rededicated myself to get in shape. I'm still working with my trainer, work out 2x's a week with him and 1 day on my own doing strength training and try and do the treadmill 5 days a week. Started using "My Fitness Pal" again to track my calories.

I now down to -26lbs with my goal to lose 14 more by my daughter's wedding September 2nd. So I started at 185lb last May, am down to 161lbs and plan to weigh at least 145 by August 1st. Then off to buy my Mother of the Bride dress.
