This has been a real battle of the budge. I started my weight loss journey over 20 years ago. When I hit middle age I thought that every person put on weight after 30. That that was what our body does to survive getting older. I did not see very many people in their 30s-50s that didn't have weight problems. So I blended in. Then my health went to pot. I started having high blood pressure problems. Then came diabetes. Then came the feelings of not liking myself anymore. Not wanting to look in the mirror or even go clothes shopping. I always enjoyed going out with my husband but now I just hate it. I just hate getting my picture taken. I look so huge, it makes me sad.

I love my husband so much. We have been married 32 wonderful years and I want to spend the next 32 years with him, enjoying life together being healthy and fit. I want to look sexy again. Yes even at our age...

My oldest daughter is getting married in July. I want her wedding pictures to look beautiful. I know she will make a beautiful bride.
But I also what to be a beautiful Mother of the Bride. I want to live life to its fullest and right now the way I am going I won't.

So...I have no choice, I have to do this. I have made up my mind to lose the weight I nee to. I am 4'11 and I weigh 164 lbs. My highest weight was 176 a year ago. I need to lose 50 pounds. With the support of my family and friends and SP I know that I can do this. I also know that it will not be easy. It will take a lot of hard work and discipline, but with God and family all things are possible.

Right now I have to take 3 insulin shots a day and meds for high blood pressure. My goal is to be med free. A friend told us about a man in Indiana that helps people with their health problems naturally using supplements and vitamins, we have gone to see him. So with his help and a good healthy eating and exercise plan I plan to win this battle and become the new thin, healthy me that God has intended for me to be. So here goes...

My very first goal is to get through a day without cheating in any way.

my second goal is to go to bed before 11 in the evening so I won't cheat

My third goal is to wake up in the morning happy and excited that I did not cheat the night before

My Program:

Bagged up all food I do not want to eat and gave it away

Got my family on board for support

Starting to find ways to bring exercise into my everyday life.

Personal Information:
My husband and I live in rural Wisconsin. We have 3 wonderful grown children, 30, 29, and 21. We are waiting for grandchildren.
Been happily married for 32 years

Other Information:
I have several medical conditions were I have to eat a certain way. I am suppose to eat only veggies. I can have a little butter and olive oil, but just veggies. Since I started eating this way I have lost 11 pounds. Started 2 weeks befor Thanksgiving. Was that ever hard over the holidays and yes I have cheated....
