Hello Spark friends! I have not changed this in FOREVER!!

I have had quite the journey with my new lifestyle. I began - long ago - in January of 2006.
That first year, I was able to drop an amazing 123 lbs... goodness.. and then, most of 2007, I sat at that weight... working out like crazy, yet could not get rid of any more of the weight.. until...... I changed up my workouts, and added INTERVALS... and races to the mix.
I have gone from a very sedentary lifestyle to a life of activity - and have actually become AN ATHLETE!! how cool is that?
2008 finds me 185lbs down... 1/2 my original size... and walk/jogging races.
I did 2 half marathons, a 50 mile bike tour, a 127mile walk relay, and a duathlon. I love the races... and now that the number on the scale no longer reflects the success I am encountering, the races and the improvements all add up to the results I need to keep seeing to keep going.

I am currently recovering from foot surgery for a bunion and a couple hammer toes. So find myself in a forced off season. 2009 brings many exciting new adventures in the race world as I plan for a total come back from this surgery.

I am excited for this new lifestyle and wish all of you similar successes.

My Goals:
Initial goal, to be under 300 lbs by mid June.

Lose 18 more pounds by Angela''s wedding on July 16, 2006 (Be around 285lbs)

Lose another 10 lbs by Amelia''s wedding on Aug 19, 2006 (be around 275lbs).

August 20, 2006: Now that I have met these initial goals, my next goals are:

Get to my 100lb wt loss by September 8, 2006

Lose 30lbs by Dec 31, 2006 (245)





My Program:
Following a food plan that includes 5 small meals a day. This allows me to stay in control by staving of hunger.

Walk 2 miles a day 5 days a week.

Switch out cardio every time to keep interest.

Add steps to every day by doing simple steps of parking farther away, taking the stairs, etc.
