The wall paper on this page is my weight loss statistics from the time that I set up my SparkPeople account. I'm not as big of a math geek as the wallpaper and the page title imply. They are a bit of not-so-subtle self-loathing that I've been on SP since 2012 and have done what lots of people do--lost some weight and then regained it when life got hurried or hard or when eating pizza seemed easier and more fun than making meals at home.

The time commitment to change the behaviors and take the time to track them is my downfall.

March 2013--9 months and 68 pounds to go
January 2013--12 months and 75 pounds to go
September 2012--In the last two years my BP has risen, so I'm inspired to exercise and to lose weight. My 50th birthday is December 20, 2013. Fifteen months is enough time to make slow steady progress on losing 100 pounds. I just have to pay attention and keep on keepin' on.

Thanks for the reminding to be on guard for the Hallowe'en candy! We don't buy it any more - we don't have 'treaters' here. So, that helps quite a bit. If I have a hankering for something - I figure a small portion into my calories for the day and keep on keeping on. See my blog about fried chicken and ice cream...

Hope you have a great week!

    Hi Marji,
Thanks for stopping by my page! I also incorrectly read 'candles' instead of 'candies'!! We generally don't celebrate Halloween as such in Australia (though the stores have a few Halloween items in stock - but really only a few people seem to partake). But it is good advice not to overindulge at any given time anyway! Hope you have a wonderful weekend and week.

LOL and thanks for the advice about the candy! Of course you're right, and after all, I'm old enough to buy my own candy now, should I be so inclined!

Thanks for the visit Marji and your support and encouragement.
Yes, down is down and you're doing so very well too. Congratulations!! I think when you can see the scales dropping, even a tiny bit every week, it gives you that extra burst to keep on making the effort. All good. And yes, will keep away from the not so innocent goodies this week. Thank you.

Have a great week girlfriend. emoticon

Thank you for the encouragement to run from the candy. I needed that. Hope you have a pleasant week.
