Just a dorky camera-phone shot to show my husband the new hairdo he bought me.

My present from the kids: a card telling me about my new software to help me write my novels.

The whole family, gathered around the fire and tree on Christmas Eve.

Life is about learning, and every few years, you have to get a new study manual. So how is being in my 30s different from the 20s? For one thing, I can't stay slim just by passing up a donut and hitting the gym once a week... it's 5 days a week now, and eating sugar-free, gluten-free, and semi-vegetarian!

Ever see the circus performer with the plates spinning on long spindles? That's life... one plate is for my family and how I'm going to help my kids become healthy adults... one's my marriage, one's my duties to God, one's my career... and one is my own path of self-discovery and improvement. Got to keep them all spinning... when one crashes to the floor, the rest start to fall.

My Goals:
I want to turn heads while walking down the street... and in a good way!

My Program:
How many health problems do you have that would simply GO AWAY if you ate and exercised exactly as you knew you should? How many could you simply prevent with a bit of self-discipline? Those are good enough reasons for me.

Personal Information:
I live with my husband and two kids in Reno, Nevada. I am a massage therapist and he is a linguist, and we both have passions for learning and self-improvement that keep us from going stagnant.

Other Information:
My physical passions are the gym (weights, baby!), ninjutsu, bellydancing, yoga, and anything outdoors (like hiking.) My dormant passions are reading (Jim Butcher's Dresden Files) and writing (I write speculative fantasy fiction with a humor tone.)

I see you love to write. I am trying to finish a mystery book gear for pre-teen age. I can't seem to get enough time to work on it even through I'm by myself. I hope to finish it by the time I am 65. I love to write poems and short stories too.
