Living in a Southern Food Chain and ya'll know what that means!
My daughter who lives in Finland now hooked me up with this site today and I think here's something that really could work! I have always been interested in good nutrition ( not enough in fitness I'm afraid), but a few years ago I was diagnosed with both breast and kidney cancer and I really started taking all this more seriously and I feel that after my body went through all that upheaval I owe it in return at least a decent shot at a healthier lifestyle! I have to resist the urge to just be comfortable at 59, but I need to find something realistic I can do @ my own pace so it will have a lasting impact on my health. This could work!!!

My Goals:
I'm just starting but my goal is to loose 30 lbs, slowly add more fitness to my daily routine and enjoy life while doing it. I don't want to feel like Life happens when you are doing something else. It is here, now!

My Program:
So far before signing up I have been walking 30-45 min 3-4 times a week. I am going to continue that and learn what else I need to do to help me reach my goal so ask me again in a couple of weeks!

Personal Information:
I'm 59 if anyone needs a number. Born in Finland and live in the beautiful Bluegrass area now.

Other Information:
I love Nature-being from Finland it is genetic default! Just like believing in fairies:)
My favourite teacher is Caroline Myss.
I listen to Joyce Meyers every morning to get my day started in the right direction.
I have a weakness for Italian and Indian food!!
I love Rumi.

    I'm pretty new at this myself, but wanted to let you know that it's o.k. to just jump right in and play. It's how I have been learning my way around. So far I have encountered only splendid, encouraging and helpful people. Stop by and say hello. I hope you try isometric exercise, it's perfect for older adults, those with mobility issues, if you have chronic pain, or tire easily.
