My name is Mandy and I am 34 years old. I have lived most of my life overweight and unhealthy. I have 2 young daughters that I do not want to follow in my footsteps so I am making changes now while they are still young so they can learn how to eat to live and not live to eat.

4/12/11- I have been an active SparkPeople member for 4 months now and I can happily report that I have lost 20 pounds since starting the program. I walk 6 out of 7 days a week and I have loving family who support me and keep me on track. I have joined a few Spark Teams and I try to stay motivated on a daily basis. SparkPeople has truly affected me in a positive way. Here is to another four fabulous months!

Reasons Why I want to loose weight:
1. I want to be a good role model for my children
2. I do not want to take medications (blood pressure etc.)any longer
3. I want to be healthy
4. I want to look good
5. I'll be more attractive to my husband
6. My children will not be embarrassed of their "fat mommy"
7. Will be able to wear smaller and more stylish clothes
8. I will enjoy shopping it will no longer be a chore
9. I will be able to play with my kids
10. I will have more energy
11. My self confidence will improve
12. I will not have the fear of not fitting in plane or amusement park seats
13. My knees and back will not hurt as much

7/19/11 - I have lost 50 pounds with Sparkpeople in 7 months, this is the most amazing feeling actually doing what I set out to and seeing the results.

4/12/2013 - A lot has happened since 7/19/11 have had another baby and gained back my weight. The good news is I am back on the wagon again and I have already lost some of that weight I put back on. Another good bit of news is I am not alone in my household this time. My husband and I have teamed up and we ae loosing the weight together this time.

I want to exercise regularly and enjoy it. I want to eat healthier food and cut out a lot of the sugars that I am use to eating.

Walking with my buddies 6 out of 7 days a week. Planning my meals and tracking what I eat and drink.
