I used to walk 5 miles a day when I was in high school. Unfortunately, it's been a long time since I've been that active. I have been married for 3 years to a truly wonderful man and the time is right for us to have a baby. The only probably is I have PCOS. I've been on synthroid and metformin long enough to have regular cycles. Now the problem is losing the weight I gained from PCOS (which is very stubborn - seems like every pound I lose seems to find me again!)

But I am determined. I want to be a mom. Losing 50 pounds is still a long way from the "ideal" weight for my height. But I felt so much more healthy and active when I was 50lbs lighter. One of my best and worst features is that under all my 'insulation' I still have a lot of muscle. It's good because it's just a matter of toning it to help lose the weight - it's bad because muscle weighs more than fat.

So that is why I am here. I have a very good friend who is on this journey with me. She had a baby earlier this year and wants to lose as much weight as I do. I am hoping that between SparkPeople and my really good friend, I will finally be able to lose the weight and be blessed with a child.

My Goals:
My goals are simple: lose weight to get pregnant! I want to be a happy healthy mommy!

I am working to eat better, more vegies and fruits. I love taking pictures so I am trying to get outside more and go hiking through the woods to find better shots!

Personal Information:
I am currently in the rainy but beautiful Pacific Northwest. However, we will be moving out of state. DH is active duty Army and we go where they send us.

Other Information:
I love crafting - beading, crocheting, quilting, card making, and photography. I am a creative person and when I can't do something creative, I get very very cranky! LOL
