I am Mookxi. Like any other teenager, I'm pretty conscious of my body. And I'm not a fan of fad diets either; been there done that. I want a lifestyle change & this is why I'm doing Spark. To change my bad eating habits & lose all the weight I put on from senior year where I'd snack all the time under stress. Wish me luck ! And feel free to leave commen

What I’m going to do to achieve this goal .. (I'm going to try & prioritise and segment them later)

ON-GOING GOALS =

* Eat less than 1500 calories at least 4 times a week
√ Exercise for at least 20 minutes per day
√ Measure myself with a tape measure and record changes.
* Walk as often to everything.
* Lower my body-fat
√ Daily exercise: biking, running. Swimming?
√ Drink at least four glasses of water each day (not including tea and coffee).

FIRST TIME GOALS =

* Get 8 hours of sleep every night for three weeks.
* Run a mile in less than 10 minutes
* Go to gym three times a week
√ Go jogging once a week
* Go without caffeine for a month
* Go without fizzy drinks for a month
√ Be able to fold myself in half
* Participate in an awareness walk/run
* Exercise for 6 days per week for 6 weeks
* Practice yoga 3 days per week for 6 weeks
* In bed by 10pm every night for 2 weeks
* Give up refined sugar for 2 weeks (0/14)
* No takeout for 30 days (0/30)
* Workout 4 days a week for 3 months (0/90)
* Do inventory of how I spend my time
* Do a month-long food diary, noting mood, events, and weather as well as food
* Do a month-long exercise diary, noting my physical activity, what motivates me to move, and what motivates me to slack off.
* Do a ‘magazine exercise’ for two weeks: what did I like, what did I didn’t like?
* Do a series of exercises I liked for six weeks: what was helpful, what wasn’t?
* Eat more than two fruits and vegetables per day for a week.
* Make a regular shopping list with two weeks worth of regular servings of whole grains, fruits and vegetables, milk, and protein.
* Eliminate sugary foods for a week: what was it like? could I do it again, or run far away? Did I get any benefits?
√ Eliminate caffeine for a week: what was it like? Could I do it again, or run far away? Did I get any benefits?
√ Eliminate alcohol for a week: What was it like? could I do it again, or run far away? Should I go into AA or something? Did I get any benefits?
√ Keep at 30 minutes of physical activity three times a week. The ideal is 60 minutes six times a week.
* Meditate/pray for 5 minutes each day for a week.
√ Drink only water for a week
* Jump on rope for ten minutes a day for a week
* Eat balanced 3 meals and 3 snacks for a week
* Mind to eat slowly for a week
* Eat at a vegetarian place ten times
* Cook Dinner 5 times per week for 2 weeks (0/10)
* Journal food for 30 days on Spark People
* Re-Learn how to Hula Hoop
* Complete C25K running plan
√ No soda for 1 week
* No eating after 8pm for 1 week
* Use the gym facilities once a week
* Use mouthwash as directed
* Find a face wash that works
* Take a yoga class
* Go a month without eating fast food or eating out
√ Get BMI into “healthy” range
* Get an eye exam.
* Learn to cook at least five new healthy meals (0/5)
* Do 2-3 exercise sessions each week – at least 30 mins in length
* Have herbal tea instead of dessert for 4 consecutive weekends. (0/4)
* Go on an after-dinner walk instead of having dessert 3 times a week for 6 consecutive weeks. (0/18)
* Go on a 1-hour walk once a week for 8 consecutive weeks. (0/8)
* Ride my bike twice a week for 8 consecutive weeks. (0/16)
* Bike somewhere far away (overnight trip?)
* Learn to perform basic maintenance tasks for my bike (change a flat, patch a tube, clean the chain, adjust the brakes)
* Eat out no more than twice per week for 8 weeks (lunches included).
* Sign up for one strengthening/stretching class

My Program:
I'm a newbie to SparkPeople ! -- so i'm on stage one: fast break. ;-) ,, I feel like I have a long way to go !

Reasons why I'm doing this:
1. To feel more confident about my body
2. To fit into my clothes better
3. To get rid of my fear of trying on clothes at shops & having them not fit me
4. To be healthier
5. To be fitter
6. Long-term lifestyle changes
