Hi, My name is Michelle. I am 39 years old. I live in northeast Ohio.
I have been heavy all my life. I was doing really good in 07 but my grandma got diagnosed with cancer and it threw me. She is doing better now (still fighting cancer but more stable) so now it is back to taking care of me.
I do try to eat the right foods. I eat whole wheat, lots of veggies. I could do with a little more fruit in my diet. My big problem is eating on a regular schedule and getting my breakfast so i am not as hungry in the evening. I am diabetic and this year makes ten years since i was diagnosed. I am starting to do a sliding scale insulin regimen so i can eventually be put on a pump. I know that diabetes is reversible with diet and exercise.
It is so hard to start over again especially when you have gained all the weight back plus some. I remember how hard it was to break that barrier (pain) when i first started working out in 07. Anyway, I will get it right eventually. If you don't give up you have to accomplish it eventually.
Hopefully since i have to count calories for my insulin now i will be able to keep a better track on what i eat.

Thanks for checking out my page and have a great day.

Here is a video someone shared about Fast Food. It is from and is about fast food. How disgusting is the stuff we put in our mouth. I say "NO MORE PRESERVATIVES".

This is from an article in my saved files. I put this here because I struggle with the idea that I have to do everything perfectly. If i overeat than i have to quit. No room for mistakes. This is something I am trying to change. So I want this to be a reminder to me that nothing and no one is perfect.

Progress—not perfection—is important. To be successful, you don't have to always make perfect decisions and have perfect days where things go exactly as you planned. If you eat more or exercise less than you wanted to one day, you can make up for it over the next several days if you want, or you can just chalk it up to experience and move on. Remind yourself that what happens on any one day is not going to make or break your whole effort. This is not a contest or a race, where every little misstep could mean the difference between winning and losing. It’s your life—and you’ll enjoy it a lot more when you can keep the daily ups and downs of your eating and exercise routine in perspective

I don't have to be perfect:

An elderly Chinese woman had two large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck.

One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.

At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.

Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments.

But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.

After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure, it spoke to the woman one day by the stream.

"I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house."

The old woman smiled, 'Did you notice that there are flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?'

'That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them.'

For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate the table.

Without you being just the way you are, there would not be this beauty to grace the house.'

Each of us has our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding.

You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.
