It’s cold outside, but Spring is coming! Are you ready to join a Challenge? The Biggest Loser Challenge is looking for members for it’s next Challenge starting the first week of March. The challenge consists of 11 Teams, that participate in 10 weeks of Nutritional and Fitness Challenges. These challenges can be modified to fit individual needs, allowing members of all abilities and dietary needs to participate.

Here are some of the members comments written on a Survey Monkey poll:

“The ITCs help me find new ways to add healthy choices to my life. “
“I like the variety, novelty, and ingenuity of the weekly challenges. They push us out of our comfort zone. And get us to try something new. “

“Participating in the challenges helps me stay on track better and I enjoy a little friendly competition. I also enjoy working on common goals with other members.”

If you would like to be a member of this challenge you can copy and paste the the link below, or click on my username and leave me a message or click on the BLUE BIGGEST LOSER Icon. Join the team and sign up for the next challenge on the Spring Waitlist thread.

If you want/need a little push...consider joining us for an 8 week challenge.

Why not join the X-WEIGHTED CHALLENGE? We're all ages, all fitness levels, all striving to live a healthier life. There is always something to learn from each other. These teams are also a great source of motivation! We can become healthier by working together and making new friends as we go. We compete in weekly nutrition and fitness challenges. It is similar to the Biggest Loser team . It last for 8 weeks. There are 3 teams that compete within the X-Weighted team. We do ATC (All Teams Challenge) various challenges (nutrition, fitness etc.) The main requirement is to post your weight weekly. The ATC challenges and/if individual teams have challenges are optional (however, very beneficial). If you have any questions, please let me know.

    Thanks.

emoticon There is an interesting woman named Elizabeth White who has a Ted Talk on YouTube, and there are also interviews she did with PBS News Hour on there as well. She is a black woman who graduated from Oberlin College, has a Master's from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from Harvard. She worked for the World Bank and traveled and said she was making over $200,000 a year. She decided to start her own business having stores selling African art and decorator items, which she got started using her retirement savings, so when the economy tanked in 2008, she had to close the stores. She said she always thought she'd just go back into the corporate world, but at 53, she couldn't get another job. Thus she wrote an article for a web site and got lots of feedback, and it was picked up by PBS. She self-published a book "55, Unemployed and Faking Normal" that has since been taken on by a publisher. She said she didn't want to become the voice of older people, but she has found out how huge the problem is for so many.
