When I orginally started this, it was all about looking better, I wanted to look like the person my husband meet. But after starting and stopping this program and then my father needing hip replacement surgery and knee surgery...both surgeries at the young age of 53 and due to his weight and lack of exercise, I have really changed my motivations.
I still want to look good for my husband and myself, I don't want to be the fat girl in my circle of friends anymore, I still want to be healthy for my daughter and be there to play games with her and not get winded or to tired to keep up with her. But most importantly I want to avoid a fate destined for me as I see through my father.
I wasn't always overweight, I didn't struggle through my school years with weight issues, in fact I was very active and played sports. I never started having weight issues until my mid twenties, when I stopped exercising and stopped watching what I ate. In a short 4 year time frame I somehow put on 50 pounds. Now that I realize it is time to take it all off, I did I do this to myself and how can I make sure it won't happen again? I hope that SparkPeople can help me answer those questions and make better life decisions so that I won't be "dieting" forever but making lifestyle changes.

My Goals:
Look good and feel confident in a bathing suit.

Go to the gym at least 4 times if not 5 times a week.

Start cooking at home instead of ordering out every night.

My Program:
I started a cookbook and cook at least one new item a week.

I joined the gym that is 3 miles from my house and signed up with a trainer for 3 sessions a week.

I have told everyone I know that I am going to lose this weight so I am held accountable for my actions
