2009 is a brand New Year! I feel blessed to be able to wake up to 365 days of this new year. Each day I anticipate a promise... a promise that I make to myself to sacrifice and fight. Fight for what I want. Fight to regain my self control.

One day in this year I will get that wonderful gift I'm working so hard to attain. I'll shed this sloppy body of mine & step into a new better fitting one. One that is chiseled to perfection a size custom made especially for me. This is my incentive, my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. So now I continue in my journey, one step, two steps, each step leading me closer and closer.

I'm a single, overweight mother of 2 young girls. My oldest is also a bit on the heavy side, about 9 pounds heavier then she should be A couple of months ago I began eating healthier by cooking a LOT & stopped my trips to the fast food joints. To my surprise I actually like to cook & slowly my kids have stopped nagging me for fast food and they actually enjoy their meals. This last month, I guess stress and hardships have me going back to my old ways.. I'm pleased to say that I am still cooking but every now and then I find myself buying junk, such as ice-cream, and chips, where for the last 2 mos. I was good. My daughter lost 7 lbs & I lost 16. Fortunately I haven't gained it all back yet. I only gained about 3 pounds back. Before I do anymore damage, this is my CRY for help. I want to find my good habits and get motivated and whip myself back into shape. If anyone has any kind words of encouragement... Thank U! (I really can use them). From a desperate, hopefully only temporarily overweight mom. :0(

Fitness Minutes: 7,083

My Goals:
Before the end of the year, preferably by the end of 2009. I want to be rid of this excess weight. 55 Pounds to go!

I plan to lose 2 pounds a week - (more is desirable, but 2 is my goal.)

I plan to eat right 6 days out of the week with 1 cheat meal on day 7.

Although I keep a journal I will try to log my stats into sparks daily if not 5 days out of 7.

Continue to drink 8 glasses of water daily.

Pray continuously & Praising God always.

Visit spark friends at least twice a week.

My Program:
Going back to BFL Program:

Alternate days:
Upper Body Strength Train
20 Min's. Interval Cardio Train
Lower Body Strength Train

In addition (optional)- Walk to Leslie at least 1-3 miles a day.

Eat a protein & Carb at each main meal & 3 snacks a day.

Veggie with 2 meals

Drink 8-10 cups of water a day (more if a cup of diet soda or coffee)

Stop being a weighaholic & weigh only on Tuesdays!
Don't get depressed by scale - also focus on my measurements and the fit of my clothes.

Personal Information:
I'm from Sunny O-Town. A mother of 2 & "I am so tired of this out of shape body cramping my style." I'm approaching my prime (38 goin on my second 20). :0)

I better get it together now. My mind is better, my life is better. I just need my body to catch up & this is my year. So here goes nothin'....

Other Information:
I love to read, going to the park with my kids. Slowly learning to enjoy exercising (it only works for me with my favorite upbeat music).

The movies I like are drama, love stories, Chic flicks & my all time favorites are comedies. I also like anything animated (my kids taught me well).

I also love the Lord with all my heart. I thank Him 4 my kids, my life, my family & friends & just 4 loving me enough to send me Jesus.
