Hiya Amanda, I just wanted to thank you for the words of encouragement. They are much appreciated. Getting back on the horse, so to speak, isn't so hard. Then again, it is only 7:10 a.m. lol

Hi Amanda - my name is Bobbie - I'm also from Canada (BC) but I live in Vietnam. I noticed that we're in the same cabin for Summer Camp, so I wanted to introduce myself. Hope we get to know each other better during this summer adventure! Take care!

One of the biggest influences I've had in my weight losing efforts has been here on Spark, and the You on a Diet book, as seen on PBS and other shows and written by 2 docs.

Its a fanastic book in my eyes explaining what happens to certain foods you eat from the mouth then through your digestive systems, and the different organs reactions too fats, sugars, fibers, oils, etc,and the signal it gives the brain....simply amazing, then it gives you a healthy eating plan, recipes ,snack foods, water importance, a great strength excersize program without weights and in the comforts of your home, no dumbells. Thet book stresses walking at least 30 minutes daily and strength sizes 3 times a week, on top of the 1/2 hour walk.

I lost 20 lbs 3 months, with a week off for a cruise, no hunger pains, and now compliments from those who know me with flattering your slim, trim remarks. And I feel absolutely terrific, 2 years ago I had a quad bypass, I am now in the best shape I've been in 15 years.

But the biggest improvment aside from the lbs off and back into all my wardrobe pants etc, is the energtic, peppy, positive feeling and attitude, . And its not sporatic, its daily....well cept for if I drink 2 glasses of wine instead of one.

did I inspire you some??? Hope so good luck, it can happen to you as easily as eating only good foods, avoiding sugary stuff and staying positive daily, it will happen to you, slowly, but also surely.

How's it going? It looks like you're well on your way to catching up to me already! I've still only lost 11 lbs.

Well Peter's better now but I've been sick since Sat. Jocelyn is getting a bit better but is still sick. It's so not fun to be sick at the same time as your baby. Everytime she coughs she wakes up and cries so I can't even get sleep so neither of us get any sleep to get better. I'm feeling quite a bit better today so I think I'll come visit you tomorrow. Then you can see my new "skinny" me. lol It might be all in my head because I still look pretty figgin fat in pics. Ah well.

    Have a good day!
