The bad: Stubborn, scientific cynic, with a choose your choice wheel of moods and decisions. I follow Emerson's philosophy and think that consistency can be foolish... speak what you speak now with full passion, even though tomorrow you may be 180 degrees different. I adhere to the evidence- not anecdotes or belief or personal experiences.

The good: Understanding, supportive, and compassionate. I'm stubborn and cynical-- but I reserve those states of being for me, myself and I. I try to approach all sparkrelationships with a sense of curiosity and understanding.

The dirt: Atheist. Plant-based. I aim for vegan no oil 95% of the time. I succeed 95% of the time.

Married, one human child from Summer 2014. 2 good dogs, one bad cat. I gained a bunch of weight from the pregnancy, but was overweight before that. I hope to lose the baby weight and then some.

My spark-iquette is as follows:

I love comments. I will comment on your blog, and I will be honest but kind or at least civil. I'm wordy, but I don't expect you to be for me.

When I receive comments, I love them. I read them carefully and savor each word.

I am not an "I love you too" person. Each comment I get, each sparkgoodie, is cherished, but I do not immediately respond with a comment or sparkgoodie in return. I want this journey to be cumulative and growing and real and appreciated-- so when I give a goodie, it's because there is something specific that I want to do for the recipient, be it encouragement, celebration, sympathy, or just plain goofiness. Same thing for comments.

"I'm an atheist, but I'm very relaxed about it. I don't preach my atheism, but I have a huge amount of respect for people like Richard Dawkins who do." ~Daniel Radcliffe

Personal Information:
