Thank you so much for the encouragement! I actually have fallen off the band wagon, but getting back on tomorrow! I am hoping to one day get there! Good luck on your 5k race!

I just want to encourage you in your goal to run a mile without stopping. There are a lot of great teams on SparkPeople for beginning runners. When I joined the Couch to 5K team, it didn't seem realistic to hope I could ever run a 5K, but I'm only a few weeks away from my first race. You can do this - just keep going.

Thank you for responding to me! You know I never thought of it as a No No in the bible! That is a great point and I want to keep that with me! I know that for you it was an appointment and I think for me it has to be habit forming. I am a stay at home mom and I workout when my kids are taking their naps, at least i don't get distracted. You are definitely a great role model to follow thank you for sharing your information to great weight lost! emoticon

HI, thanks for stopping by my page!! You asked what has kept me going, good question. I saw what you wrote in your introduction on your page and it said family was not enough to keep it going...I agree...I had the initial motivation for weight loss for my family(husband, kids...tired of being the fat mom) but you're right, it's not enough. So it is me before God, knowing I have not taken care of this body and I got fat because I was lazy and greedy. Those things are No No's in the Bible so just knowing I am disobeying God was enough to start and keep going. I also think the fact that I plan out my workouts and do the like appointments, this has helped me a lot because it takes out the need for motivation...I love it when I am motivated but more times than not, I am not motivated and I do it because it's scheduled and it needs to be done. Motivation is not a requirement but consistency and dedication is. It's not as hard as you think but it is slow going....I do have an excellent diet so I know that is a factor in losing this weight... I don't drink soda, alcohol, msg, high fructose, splenda...nothing fake in my diet, all whole foods, healthy foods and most are organic so for me it's the portions that I MUST watch. I have eaten healthy for YEARS but I was still fat and it was because I ate waaaay too much of a good thing:) I hope that you find that "whatever" to push you really does feel good to accomplish a goal you have set for yourself and your family does end up benefitting from your great health:)
