I'm 50 and mother of 2 wonderful kids well grown kids 22 and 25. Since I had some health issues I gained alot of weight that I desperately want to loose so I can go clothes shopping and like what I try on. I started Spark again at 213 pounds April 7 and started really counting my carbs plan to reach my goal of 155 which now I'm thinking I'll change it to 140 but I'll wait till I reach my first goal.Even though I have a slow start I'm confident that I will continue to loose these unwanted pounds. really slacked for 2 years but im back at it very determined to loose the weight. Really could use a gym buddy my daughter trys to go with me but our schedules never really work with her classes and job

My Goals:
My personal goals is to get to a healthy weight that way maybe some of my other health issues will go away I saw a dietician and she gave me a guide to really help me with my sugar problem and weight so Im really counting those carbs spark also gives me some good suggestions on what to eat but I dont get to do much shopping myself hubby does it lol so I have to make due with whats on hand.

My Program:
I joined spark and am watching the calories on a daily basis. I try and get my daugher to go for walks with me at least 3 times a week if not more when the weather is nice we also joined a gym was going 3 times a week now shooting for 5 times a week as our schedule permists.
loose at least 1.5 pounds per week that 6 pounds this month. Really need to hit the gym more often 183.9 by the end of june I can do it!!!! Also need to take my dog for more walks shes over weight too and being 12 years old thats not good for her.

I love sci fi , fantasy movies. I spend alot of time at the computer either surfing or playing Everquest.

    Yes...I too found Spark People along time back, but I guess that it wasn't the right time for me to commit.

    Then I was ready...thankfully I remembered this site and there was my Spark Page just as I had left it 4 years ago.

    I haven't benn focusing on losing since Halloween (darn those temptresses candy bars!) but at least I haven't been gaining any back!

    I'll be jumping back on the weight loss wagon as soon as I get more crocheting done and get rid of these goodies that come with the holidays!

    6 more pounds and I'll be at the half way point to my goal its been slow last couple weeks takes more and more to make that scale move doesnt help my knees have been hurting alot lately think its the weather
