Hi Everyone!
I am Lauren! 27 years old, and I want..make that, AM going to lose 80+ pounds!! Since I was little, I always remember being on the bigger side. My whole family runs in the genes. I have always struggled with my weight. I remember being 11 years old, and at a family party, and I went to the "junk food" table to grab a brownie, when my uncle yelled (in front of everyone) why dont you take the whole plate, porky!! That comment, changed my whole life. When I was a teenager, I tried EVERY diet pill out there, and when that didnt work, I even tried vomiting! Eventually, I just stopped caring about how I looked and how I felt. No one knew how I truly felt about myself, because I put on a good front! I was the life of the party..always seemed happy... but inside, I felt horrible! It wasn't until I turned 23 and was pregnant with my first child..Now I am blessed to have the most amazing 3 year old little girl! She is THE most important person in my life. And I do not want her growing up like overweight, sad, unhappy girl.. so I am changing my family "genes"...starting with myself! Even though, I am an overweight (280) 27 year old, I am thankful I am 5'8, so people wouldnt really expect me to weigh that much unless I told them... I am finally happy again!! And I owe my beautiful daughter, and amazing fiance, and wonderful parents for that!! MOVING AHEAD.. I recently quit my job, and in the process of looking for a new one, I spend every moment of the day with my child. I have decided to spend every second, starting a new beginning. This is the perfect time for me, to re-focus on myself, and start shedding some pounds! I have been going on walks every day to the park with my daughter. Stopped driving to the park, and we walk a mile! (my daughter walks the whole way..ha.. she loves it!), and today is day 9 of my diet. I am eating healthy, and I can honestly say that I have not cheated once!!..which is a first!! No soda, and I have 2 salads a day! A few days ago, I was watching Oprah, and heard that her whole office went Vegan for 1 week. I decided to do some Veganism research, and after reading about how healthy it can be for people, I have decided to do my own challenge. On top of my eating healthy, I have decided to become Vegan for 21 days! Tomorrow will be day 3!! Even though, I have been doing a great job this past week, I realize that people's comments and motivation, could help me even further..which is why I have decided to Spark. I hope people will read this, and comment back! The more people we all have backing us up...the more we can succeed!!

My Goals:
To lose 100 pounds by February 2012!!
To be healthy and happy and enjoying life!
To be able to run after Addison in the park and still being able to breath
To come up from the basement stairs still having air!

My Program:
Eat Breakfast, then walk 1.30 miles
Eat Lunch, the do elliptical for 30 minutes
Eat Snack
Go for short 15min walk
Eat Dinner
Do elliptical for 30 minutes again.
Eat Snack!!
