~I am a mom of four beautiful kids. ~I have a job that I love as the manager of the apartment community. ~I have an amazing supportive fiancé that I have been with for six years now. ~I am very committed to making sure that my family eats the best quality foods. i.e. absolutely NO GMO'S, Grassfed beef, homemade to avoid processed chemical laden foods, lots of fruits and veggies (organic and/or local when possible) ~i believe that the bulk of our weight issues is due to the hijacking of our food system by corporations and faulty legislation all in the name of profit. For them, it isn't about feeding anyone, it's about lining pockets. I don't trust the government to insure the safety of my food at all. The food and drug administration is a joke! Most of the folks that work there revolve between the FDA and Monsanto (a company, I believe has caused more damage to the earth and the people than can be imagined) I am very passionate about the issue and hope to someday find a way to make changes in the way food is viewed in this country.

My Goals:
Some of my goals are I want have more energy for my kids. I want to feel better everyday. I want to fit in some of the clothes I used to wear that I have been hanging on to. My long term is to weigh between 145 and 150 and stay there:)

My Program:
I am planning on getting back to the basics at first so that I re-develop good habits. Drinking more water and getting in exercise. Once I have gotten those in place I will begin a more developed program.

Personal Information:
I am 39 years old. I am a single mom to three amazing kids, two beautiful girls ages 17 & 14 and the sweetest little boy in the world who is 12.
I am the assistant manager for the apartment community that I live in. I love my job but that is easy because I love where I live.
I have been trying to (or at least talking about trying to) lose weight for about two years now. I was in good shape all through high school and college. I gained weight with each of my three pregnancies. I lost it in between but did it wrong so when I gained it back, it always came with a few extra. Then I started allowing other things to just become more important than my weight and health issues. I have recently realized that if I am not here because of health issues, I can't do anything about all the other stuff I thought was so important. I tried all sorts of ways to lose, without lasting success. In Jan. 08 I began a web search for a calorie counter of some sort, which lead me to spark!!

Other Information:
I enjoy knitting, it is so relaxing. During the summer I love swimming and hanging out by the pool. I like spending time with my family. I am fun and friendly and can be very encouraging and can need encouragement as well.
