I am a 53 year old mother of 5 adult children, grandmother of 4, Pastor's wife and I work full time in the banking industry. My life has been blessed in so very many ways, yet for the past 20 years I have let myself gain 100 pounds. In my 30's I was a Weight Watcher's instructor, but that was 130 pounds ago. I have tried many diets and they have always been a roller coaster ride for me.
I have determined that this is the start of my new life. This is not a diet, it is my new way of managing the food that I eat. I have several physical problems, nothing major, thank the Lord, but many that are made worse by my weight.
I travel alot for my job, and often to some beautiful places, but I am not fit enough to enjoy my surroundings.
It is my desire to be able to run and play with my grandchildren (ages 4, 3, 2 and 1) as they grow; to be able to walk miles and miles and enjoy doing it; and to kneel to pray and not fear that I cannot get back up again.
I pray that I will once again "love myself" and be pleased with who I am in my body. I am reminding myself daily that my self worth is found in who I am in the Lord.
Matthew 22:37 "'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind': This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'
I believe that losing this weight is part of God's plan for me. God's plans always take into account what is best for us. His will is to lead me towards spiritual growth. I have been using my weight as an excuse for way too long.........this is a new year and I have a New Point of View!

My Goals:
Lose 15 pounds by Memorial Day!
Exercise 4 days a week for 3 weeks in a row by April 15th.
No diet pop!
No sugar!
No Raisinettes! (I love them)



My Program:
Portion control, portion control, portion control.
Drink ice water and not diet pop.
Be willing to eat out with friends and family and have them see me making wise choices.
STOP STRESS EATING!

I love mysteries. I have always been a die hard fan of Murder She Wrote, Matlock.....love the new Hallmark Mystery Movies.
