Spring has arrived!!
Time to get cracking again with those exercises and a good diet routine.

I have a couple of bible verses to share with you today:

1 Corinthians 10:13
"No trial has overtaken you that is not faced by others. And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it"

Philippians 3:13-15

Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Let us therefore, as many as are perfect, have this attitude; and if in anything you have a different attitude, God will reveal that also to you;

Keep pressing on...keep on reaching for the goals that are set before you and me. With God's help we can do this!

My Goals:
Revised goals for 2017

To put God first in my life where He belongs and live my life the way He wants me to.
To get and be healthy.
To lose some weight and get my labs down before my next doctor appointment in June.
To reset my sleep habits so I no longer have problems with insomnia...more zzz's = better health!

My Program:
Continue to get at least 7-8 hours of sleep a night.

Exercise and nutrition commitment:
Keep to a heart healthy dietary regimen. I need to stay on a low sodium, low carb diet. Keep my calorie intake between 1200-1500 per day, and my sugar intake below 25mg./day.

Use stationary bike at least 30 minutes/day.
Do my stretching exercises for my knee every morning..
Find fun and new ways to keep active while dealing with arthritis in my knees.

I have been married for 38 years, have four adult sons and one adult daughter..
At last count our pets included one cat and one dog.

I have been a homeschooling mom for
almost 30 years, and now I am looking for some other meaningful way to fill my hours and days.

    Getting enough protein is a problem for me, too. I've found a couple of high protein cereals, which helps, and I try to have some cheese for a snack during the day. I need more meat and beans I suppose. Working on that. Fiber is the other thing I need more of. I'm lucky if I get 20 grams a day. I want to work my way up (slowly!) to 40 grams.

    Is your garden almost ready? You have been working hard! Send me some fresh produce, will ya? emoticon

    So how's it going? I've been to the gym Saturday, Monday and today. Had a healthy breakfast and snack. I'll be putting together a grocery list for tomorrow's shopping - going to try some new recipes.

    We have no rain today, but it is so overcast it might as well be raining. But I do see things greening up a bit here and there. Finally! I'm ready for some color.

    Hi! I like the update you've made to your page. I feel like I know you better already. emoticon
    Question: Do you have your fitness tracker linked to your nutrition tracker? I was looking at that this morning. Mine is not linked. The article I was directed to said once you link it you can't unlink it. Just wondering if that's something you do and have found helpful.

    Good afternoon, Kiddo ~

    When I went to bed last night, I basically had no plans for today. But that changed quickly and I was gone from the house from 7:15 until 12:15. Busy, busy. It's good to be busy. I don't graze as much.
