"If It's Important To You, You Will Find A Way. If Not, You Will Find An Excuse" - John Rohn
I kept my weight off for almost 10 years, was diligent with my eating and exercising. Then one day, I hurt my back while working out. Pulled a muscle and ended up with a herniated disk. The past 18 mos I have been in constant pain and unable to complete the intense workouts I am used to doing. The doctor has told me to quit boot camp workouts and learn to do low impact.

This new reality has been a bit of a downer. I enjoy high intensity workouts and I'm good at them. I'm an all or nothing kind of gal so slowing it down and changing my workouts has been a huge struggle. I have gained 35 lbs over 18 mos and I feel miserable. I have decided to make a change and embrace the fact that my workouts are different. My body needs me to take good care of it.
I am committed to 30 min workouts 4 days per week with a longer workout on Saturdays. I will not push my body beyond its limits and will be aware of how I feel. When my back starts to feel weak or "snarky" I will recover instead of pushing to the max.
My goal is to lose 35 lbs, build muscle and endurance. Ideally, I would like to lose the weight by March 2018. Here's to a new chapter in my life!
