Introduction Text I'm a (slightly older) mom of 3 teens and an EC teacher in a charter school. Several of the teachers I work with have lost weight or are trying to lose weight, and I feel inspired to try it myself. I'd like to reach a healthy weight and BMI and keep my blood pressure reasonable. Jesus said, "You ought always to pray and not to faint." Do not pray for easy lives; pray to be stronger women and men. Do not pray for tasks equal to your powers, but for power equal to your tasks. Then, the doing of your work will be no miracle - YOU will be the miracle, and every day you will wonder at yourself and the richness of life that has come to you by the grace of God. Amen. I want to have the energy to be the best mom, wife and teacher I can be. I'd like to be healthy and happy with the way I look.

I am reducing carbs, eating vegetables with every meal, walking as often as I am able.
