Hi There
I am Lisa, i live in California ,and am here to reinforce my goals of getting fit and losing weight.
My photo was taken 10/08, when my grandson graduated his marine training. I was at my heaviest then -240 lbs.
In April 2009 I began exercising on my Gazelle and slowly making improved eating choices.
I have lost 20 pounds, but feel my progress is slow, and I needed motivation and accidentally found Spark, and quickly joined.
I have permanent disabilities due to a severe injury in Sept 2007. These limit me from high impact activities and from some range of motion exercise. My right tibia and lower knee were shattered an my right shoulder and upper arm, too. I am pinned together with glue, steel plates and a ton of screws. Lunges, squats, donkey kicks, floor push ups, and the like are out of the question, Also my right arm can only be raised straight out, but not up. I cannot not use real heavy weights or extra tense bands due to restriction on the weight load stresses my injured areas can tolerate.
These things will never change, so I am working hard to find activites, and workouts that will give me results, while not impinging on the damaged parts of my body. It is a real challenge and I miss doing low impact floor work and simple dance exercising.

My Goals:
Develop better eating habits.
Eat regular meals and healthy snacks.
Get regular fat burning, aerobic exercise.
Incorporate strength training and flexibility training into my daily workouts.
Try to avoid emotional eating

My Program:
I am eating smaller meals more frequently.
drinking 10 to 12 glasses of water a day.
Alternating my fat burning workouts on my equipment,so my body does not plateau due to the same old thing every day

Personal Information:
I currently live in the Southern California desert area, and am a native Californian. I am a mother of 2, grandmother to 6, and great grandmother to 2.
I may slow down and contemplate, but I never stop and give up.

Other Information:
I have a small vegetable garden which I planted and tend to.
I collect exercise videos even if I can't use most of them.
I am also and exercise machine junkie, though some of the ones I own, I can no longer use.
