Hello!

Ever since I was a teenager, I struggled with my weight. I was active in sports throughout high school which helped, but I always was chubby.

As an adult, my weight has gone up and down so many times that I can't count anymore. I am an emotional eater and there are times when food does give me the comfort I need. I have been brought up where food heals.

But now I am a Mom to a beautiful daughter and want to be EVERYTHING to her. She deserves a Mom who has the energy to run around and show her what the world has to offer. Not a Mom who falls asleep on the sofa by 9pm and who feels so depressed about her image. What kind of message am I sending to her by being that kind of Mom?

In March 2015, I had professional pictures taken for my daughters birthday. When I saw my picture, I was horrified! I weighed 225lbs. the heaviest I ever been in my life.

But than my work did a walking challenge and I bought a Fitbit. I lost 20lbs! After the challenge was over, I struggled with my weight again and went up to 214lbs. But this time I had enough!

I got my Fitbit back on and have been pushing myself to walk more and eat better. I am ready say goodbye to the 200's. No matter how long it takes me!

My Program:
I track my calories 6 of the 7 days a week. I allow myself 1 day to eat whatever I want without the stress of tracking (usually a Saturday). This helps me control binge eating.

I also try to walk 10,000 steps a day. If I was 10,000 for 10 days in a row, I reward myself with a treat.

Blogging has helped me vent my feelings instead of reaching for cookies. It has helped my emotional eating.

    Awww I just saw the shoe goodie you sent me, thank you! I think I sent you an invitation on Fitbit too? This week I will be really off my steps because my daughter is due with her second baby this week so I will be babysitting around the clock and overnight. This is not a typical week for me. Let's get in as many steps as we can each day and motivate each other!!
