Update March 2012

2011 was an up & down year and I didn't meet my original goal to lose 50 lbs. I did lose half that & I feel good about it. I have learned so much about feeding my body properly. You feed your body properly with so more than just food. I am committed to loving myself no matter what size/weight I may be. It's not easy but I am worth it. 2012 has started off great and I'm finding my groove with running and strength training. I look forward to summer so that I can get outside and enjoy the great outdoors. I am going to face my fear of running in public and run at least one 5k this summer. I'm also seriously considering doing a Warrior Dash with my cousins at our annual family reunion. There is no stopping me!

That's me in my kayak 2 summers ago. I didn't use it last summer, but, I have many hours logged in it so far this summer! I am getting some nice guns!

I've lost & regained the same 30 or so pounds too many times to count. My tendency is to eat too much and eat for comfort and it shows in my weight. I am sick of wearing this fat suit so that's why I'm here. SP is such a great tool for tracking calories and the amount of exercise I get.

Now that I'm in my 40's, I've found it is so much more difficult to lose weight. I have made the decision to make this lifestyle change so that I can be healthier & live longer.

My Goals:
I have revised my goal weight to reflect the weight I was when I got out of hs. I probably will not stay at that weight, I just want to appreciate how thin I was then.
First & foremost I want to to be proud of my body. I have worked hard to get in shape.
To improve upon myself each & every day.
Since I took my measurements for the 1st time on 8/23/11, I've lost 11 inches!
Lose 5 or more lbs. by 1/1/2011. Goal met 1/8/11!
Lose 5 lbs by 2/8/11. Goal met 2/18/11!
Lose 5 lbs by 8/10/11. Goal met 8/21/11!
Lose 5 lbs by 9/30/11. Goal met 10/3/11!
Lose 5 lbs by 4/1/12.

My Program:
Feeding my body properly. I juice regularly since 8/15/11.
I run on my treadmill 2-3 times per week.
I've been doing Joyce Vedral's Definition workout 2-3 times per week since 10/12/11 and am enjoying the results I am seeing.
I am slowly but surely learning how to appreciate the little things in life.

Personal Information:
I live in beautiful Vermont with my bf and 2 cats. We like to kayak, snowmobile, shop, cook & eat good food.

Other Information:
I am a voracious reader who prefers to read real books but now cannot live without my iPod touch.
