Once more looking ahead to the coming year. . .where do I need improvement?? It is harder than it sounds to make time for your own health needs -- everyone else always seems to need something (your time, your attention, your energy). But NOT this year -- ok, NOT so much, this year.
Going to try a different mind-set and treat myself as if I were a friend, not just 'me'. a)Things I would never say to a friend, I will not tell myself; b) I will make the time to be helpful and supportive with my goals - the same as I would a friend; c) I will make the time to walk with my friend.
These might seem like small things, but I believe it will be a step in the right direction.

My Goals:
My first goal is to master an eating program I can live with -- if there is no chocolate, why bother?!
Time to write down the menu plans that pop up on the nutrition page -- get some favorites going.


My Program:
I have:
-- joined SparkPeople to get realistic ideas - things that work for real people
-- made a SparkPage to get, and give, encouragement and support (maybe even post a photo or two. . . maybe)
-- learn to care for the Fitbit as much as the Spark pedometer (I really miss it -- loved to watch it light up)



Personal Information:
Married to someone who loves to cook, and I have been an appreciative eater -- yikes!
Has dawned on me that I am alone in the house for this journey toward healthful eating -- I will depend on my Spark family for support.
