    Lila--I love your motivational dress! It is beautiful and you will look fabulous in it. I bought a swimsuit on clearance this year in a size that I can't dream of wearing at the moment, but I love it and it is my motivation. Hopefully I will be in it by this summer. I hope your week is starting out great. Are you getting used to the morning exercise routine?

    Debbie--Wow, that's a lot of fitness activities! That's awesome! I expect my repertoire will expand over time, too...I get bored very easily and keep having to find new things to do. I also bike with my kids, and want to be able to go on some longer rides with them--shouldn't be too long before I can actually do that!

    Phil and Lee, thanks so much for the welcome! Glad to find the group, and I'm looking forward to getting to know everybody who's active there.

    I'm glad my video was motivational for you. The day I took that first photo was really hard. I never pulled out any of my "fat" shots until I'd already lost a significant amount of weight. Now I don't mind them. I shake my head and remember how I felt. It's kind of funny... over the year and a half since I got serious with SparkPeople each step I took along the way was a small one. But when you look back at them all they turned out to be huge.

    In the beginning I had a foot injury and couldn't run. So I walked on my treadmill at an incline. And for the first time in my life I was consistent about doing strength training (an abs video and an arms video). And I did that for 6 months faithfully. Then I was able to start running again. Then I started doing the pushup challenge, then I added yoga every Sunday, then a spinning/strength class before the yoga, then a pullup challenge (that I still think I was nuts for starting). A month ago I started swimming laps on Saturdays at my gym. Now I'm about to add biking with my kids.

    So a year and a half ago I went from doing nothing to now I'm incline walking for 60 mins, running 6 miles, swimming laps for half an hour, spinning, yoga, pushups, pullups, biking, swimming... And each time it was because I added a new activity or challenge every time I got a little bored with my routine. I needed a new challenge. LOL! Guess I found 'em!
