I am a work in progress...which means I am human, LOL! I am again picking up the pieces after some harsh times.

This time, my daughter who is living with severe disability, will be working with me. She doesn't want me to put myself second anymore to help her out.

I think we will be a winning team, both getting healthier and using the buddy system!

My Goals:
SMART Goals:

1. I will choose a cardio workout for myself 4 days each week of at least 10 minutes per session, strength training exercises 3 days each week of at least 10 minutes per session, and some type of stretching exercise every day.

2. I will turn off my computer by 10pm every week night to ensure I get to sleep on time.

3. I will experiment using alternative ingredients that are healthier when fixing my old recipes.

My Program:
I've started by letting others know that I am setting some boundaries around my availability to help them. I know a lot about healthful eating and exercise and now I am going to work this program by taking care of my emotional and physical needs.

My name is Peggy. I've lived in the Bay Area of CA for over 40 years. I've raised a family and started my career as a special ed teacher later in life. I am into cooking, reading, bird watching, music, cats, and humor.

    Awesome emoticon the good kind of pain!! Good stuff! Great workout. You'll catch up to those kids in no time! I am still sore from sundays chest, triceps & shoulders workout and today I added on biceps and back with that ouch!! But its so AWESOME!! Hope your day went well. emoticon

    Congrats on the trophy I forgot abot the trophys they are cool! See you did have fun. An outdoor pool or a sky light? May I ask why you had pain after swimming? That is not good, hope your feelong better. Hope your day goes great. emoticon

    Wow! You will definitely be logging the fitness minutes. Good for you!

    I am ramping up the mileage in preparation for the trip. I rode 19 last week and plan to do at least 20 tonight. I am really excited to go on vacation!

    emoticon You have a GREAT routine for exercise, I love the firm I have every one of the firm ever produced their emoticon I even have the wave set, I also am not a gym lover I have invested over the years myself I have over 300 exercise videos and 3 different barbells 30 40 and 100 lbs (that I used to bench years ago, got to get back into that but I have to get the room finished first) hand weights all the way up to 40's, step benches, bands you name it I'll probably have it. emoticon Now ask me about clothes and other stuff who cares emoticon emoticon You'll do fine in your class you do all those videos your probably be the fittest one there, you could probably teach the class your self girl. emoticon Yes please tell me how you liked it I bet you'll really have lots of fun.     You are one busy lady and you sure do get your exercise in alright! Swimming? Yea you will be tired, may I ask why so much cardio because you already do the walking why not add in short spurts of strength training in? If a person were to give me a choice between cardio and weights and I could only choose either one I would choose weights hands down because the more muscle we have the more calories at rest are burnt off of our bodies without even moving, so even with me just sitting here drinking coffee and sparking my body is burning of calories.
