I'm Cheri and I've tried countless attempts toward weight loss and failed many times because I returned to my old habits. I saw it as failure before but I reckon that failure is truly the first step to success because you learn from it.

I have the tools and resources, I know the nooks and cranny; I've learned what to do - now I just have to persistently act on it; perseverance is the key to success. It's about willpower. And I can do it.

Just Do It.

Here's to me on another attempt to improve myself. Life is a work-in-progress. I only have one body - I must invest in it, love it, cherish it.

My Goals:
Weight: A loss of 10 lbs is 1 milestone. There are 8 milestones to go. I'm aiming for my 1st milestone.

Habits: More vegetables daily. More water. More moving. Limit sugary foods, fast food, and eating in car.

Health: Prevent Diabetes, Normal BMI, Build Muscle

Size: Small/Medium - Same as my sister so we can share clothes

Body Image: To be comfortable and satisfied in my own skin

Upcoming Activities: Weights, Hula-hooping, Fitness Classes, Dancing, Just Dance, Fitness Ball, Planks, Yoga, Pilates, POP Pilates, Badminton, 5k run, Ballet, Barre, Boxing, Taekwondo

Advanced Activities: Push-ups, Hiking, Rock Climbing, Skiing/Snowboarding, Kayaking, 10k run, Snow-shoeing, Paddle boarding, Sky-diving

My Program:
Using Fitbit & SparkPeople.

Meet my daily goals of steps and calorie intake range 5x/wk. Avg 70,000 steps every week. Have a deficit in calories every week (Note: 3,500 cal = 1 pound).

Consumption: More vegetables, fruits, protein, healthy fats, and water. Portion control.

Saying no to certain foods.

Treat every day as an opportunity to be healthier and care for my body.

Plan out activities/work out with friends/family.

Indulge myself every 3 days and track it.

Activities so far: Walking (Trails & Treadmill), Swimming, Basketball. Add a new activity every week or two.
