I was a member of Sparks about 2 years ago but keeping up with the journaling, meal tracking, etc. was too much for my then hectic schedule. Well, I've graduated from college and have more time to focus on me. Although I weigh less now than the first time I joined, I have not attained my goal of a 50 pound weightloss. This is my second chance at starting over and attaining this goal for my top 3 reasons: 1- Get off blood pressure medication; 2- So my knees will stop hurting; 3- Look better (actually, better S-&-X) -- yeah, I said it!! On a note of sincerity, my actual goal is to out live my family -- they all died young mostly due to unhealthy food habits. So here I am trying everything, anything to lose 50 pounds.

My Goals:
Lose 50 lbs:

- To get off blood presssure controling medication

- To feel better about me

- To look FAB-U-LOUS !!

My Program:
Portion control by weighing and measuring food


Balancing calories in with activity to burn calories off

Drink 100 oz water per day

Walk 3 miles 4 x/week

Walk 1 -2 miles 3x/week


Balance Ball exercises

Personal Information:
My name is Lisa. I'm 44 and married for the first time 9 months ago. We don't have kids (and won't be birthing any of our own) but I have a clan of nieces and nephews that are just like having kids.

Other Information:
I've struggled with weight issues ever since I can remember. It is so very important to me to lose the weight. I think it will make me feel free to do a lot of the things I feel my excess weight has held me back from doing.
