Sparks people is a wonderful tool for people to keep track of their calories and fitness minutes. Now that it is 2012 we all need to focus on things that will help keep us physically fit and in good health. I plan to work out at least 3 days per week using both strength training and cardio.

Fortunately for me I have always enjoyed working out which really helps to keep those extra couple of pounds off. People think that exercising has to involve weights or doing aerobics but it actually doesn't. Every time you take a walk, work in the garden, do some painting, ride your bike or even clean the house you are actually doing aerobic exercises. Anything you do that gets your heart beating faster is helping you lose weight.

Try to find an exercise buddy because it is a lot easier to work out with someone then it is by yourself. Having that extra person there really helps push you and keeps you motivated. Joining a gym, taking an aerobics class or going to Curves is definately a step in the right direction.

I truly believe that everyone needs to take care of their body because we only have one shot at it. If we waste the little time we have here on earth by letting outselves go there is no one to blame but us.

August 2010 my husband and I went on a trip to Johannesberg, South Africa for business. While we were there we went on a safari and saw every animal there was including, lions, elephants, rhinos, giraffe, hippo, kudi, Gembock, crocodiles, ostrich and every type of antelope there was. We had a wonderful time and I would go back in a heartbeat if they ever need us to again.

Fitness Minutes: 82,624

My Goals:
My goal is to keep my weight between 115-117.

Work out at least 4 days a week.

Watch what I eat and try to limit my snack intake.

My Program:
I am working out at our fitness center 3 days a week and doing aerobics two days. I bought a eliptical machine last year and I need to get back on track using it again.

We started a walking program at work and everyone is in heavy competition with each other. My goal is to reach 10,000 steps per day (which is 5 miles). So far so good I have hit 10,000 everyday and then some.
