My Goals:
Make time for working out; make workouts part of my day not something I have to add into part of my day.

I am keeping track of everything that I eat so that I can have a clearer view of what I should and should not be eating to meet my weight loss goal.

I am exercising as often as possible

and I am trying to walk places that I wouldn't normally.

and rewarding myself when I do a good job!

    if you're interested in 30DS, i can try and figure out how to burn it to a dvd for you.… but you mentioned you have bad knees? there is a ton of jumping and i remember my legs being sore from the last time i tried it. but then again, so was everything else! ;)
    marketing & psych sounds like a really good pairing! i loveloveloved psychology and kind of wanted to get a minor but i didn't decide on my major (English) until junior year so i had to pack in all my required classes in junior & senior year. which kind of sucked and was kind of intensely awesome at the same time.
    chocolate shop = awesome. i want to have a bakery someday. let's be friends. :)
    i did lacrosse in high school for one season because it was required at the time, but i had no endurance whatsoever for all that running. i liked it better than soccer, though… but i liked rowing best of all. my school started a crew team in i think the spring of my junior year, so that was my sport through the rest of high school and into the beginning of college. i'm kind of looking forward to using the rowing machines at the gym now!

    if you go on your own sparkpage, you can see the friends you have. if you want to find more people to be friends with, you want to go on "Community" and then click on "SparkPages" and then there's a thing where you can look for people by age, by amount of weight they want to lose, and by their distance from a zip code.
    i'm planning to use the gym at my school too, but i'm almost more intimidated by that than by Jillian!! i've never used a gym on a regular basis, but i'm thinking that maybe some time this week i'll go over there and ask someone to show me around and get acclimated. what school do you go to, and what are you studying, and what year are you? :) sorry so many questions :)
    have you tried the Couch to 5K program for running? it alternates walking and jogging and takes 9 weeks to get you from 1 min running/1.5 min walking all the way up to 30 min straight of running! i am trying to do it but this was part of why i needed a buddy - i can't seem to make myself do it!
    the workout videos i mentioned you can find on my page under my teams - it's the Sparkpeople Sweatsuit to Swimsuit Bootcamp and in the message boards there's a sticky topic with links to all the videos!

    i think it's more committment than anything else lol… once we're friends on here so we can find each other we can just stay in touch via SP or fb or email or whatever works for you! what are you doing for your workouts? have you tried any of SP's video workouts? i really like the Sweatsuit to Swimsuit Bootcamp from last year. there are 7 video workouts, one for each day of the week, that last about 10-15 minutes each. i also want to do Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred, but it's hard and I'm a little scared of her! emoticon
