Moving Forward
We all move forward in life, one way or the other. It's how we move forward that's our choice.
For the past number of months I liken my moving forward to a mechanical moving sidewalk, like at the airport. I'm going forward but not by my own energy.
Today I step off the moving sidewalk and choose to move forward using my own energy.
I'm stepping into the 5% Challenge that begins April 4th!

My Goals:
Spring FIRECRACKER Plan
+LOOSE 16 lbs by May 22nd. (2 lbs/wk for 8 weeks)
+BY raising my heart rate 20 minutes each day. Yoga-Tues & Thurs, Walk daily-20 minutes vigorously.
+BY staying within my caloric range of 1200-1500 calories/day.
It's changes in life, no matter how big or small, that effect my forward motion.
My goal is to daily work My Program, no matter what unexpected thing happens.
My Program:
~Nutritional Organic Calories IN - Calories OUT~
+8/8 of Water
+20 minutes of vigorous exercise every day
+Work the food log
+Dedicate time every day on the SparkPeople site
Personal Information:
I'm Laurie and I'm in my 50's. It's not my age that sends me scrambling for weight lose in 2015 but the desire to actively work on being as healthy as I possibly can. I married Steve 30+ years ago and he remains to be my best friend. We have 2 children, Matthew and Amanda. (AMANDALADY is a sparkpeople, too) They are both married to people that make them happy. And, I'm a Grandma to a beautiful ginger named Violet Olivia. I enjoy living in MN most of the year. Winter can get a bit tough. Not because of the cold and snow, but because of the lack of sunshine.

Hey! I'm clueless about Spark. I'm a 30 BIN, and 70. My initial workout today was to start with an 5. I did 30 minutes of walk two min run three. I will learn this system eventually.
