Restarting with Spark on 01/01/2014 at my heaviest all of time.
Have to get real and make me a priority, and stop letting life pass me by.

I have a lifetime membership with Jenny Craig and I have tried Protein Power, South Beach and Weight Watchers programs.

I gained 50 pounds with each child, lost the 50 after the first, but not with the second. I was down to 190 when my baby was five, but then had female medical issues. A few months later, I tore my ACL and meniscus skiing and gained it all back. My baby will be 14 in October.

My husband, who has never had a fat day in his life, has a family history of heart/vascular trouble. He had a quadruple heart bypass in May 2005 and an aorta-bifemoral bypass and aorta aneurysm repair in Jan 2008. He has carotid artery occlusions as well.

Needless to say, cholesterol is a major concern for us both. I have adult onset diabetes on my side of the family, so that too is a large concern for me. Unfortunately our children will have to fight both of these hereditary bombs.

Was diagnosed with severe sleep apnea in December 2011 and I am now a hose head.

I am on this journey TO LIVE and hopefully for a long, long time.

My Goals:

I would like to tie my shoes with my pants buttoned.

I would like to be able to lean forward and pick something up by my feet on my floor without my stomach in the way.

I would like to be able to fit in a standard size towel.

I would like to be able to run again.

I would like to think about getting naked in front of my husband - with the lights on!

Every 5 lbs I will allow a splurge - just haven't figured out what it will be just yet. Maybe a manicure.

I am treating myself to a massage/a day at the spa when I hit 199.

I will throw out, no I will BURN, the same old crap I have been wearing for the past five years when I hit 199.

My Program:
I track my food and exercise daily.

Striving for 10 minutes of cardio every day increasing by 2.5 minutes per week until 30 minutes per day.

I have lived most of my life in Northern Virginia.

    Thanks for the new thoughts. I did PT once since living here and I actually know the exercises they are going to give me. I should probably try doing them! :) The patella does need to be taped sometimes. But not on a normal basis. I was doing great until I attempted a Jillian Michaels DVD. How crazy am I?
