    I love your name Elizabeth Joy. It is a joy to welcome you to the team. Thank you for the friend add and I added you back. Today is the first day of the challenge. I am drinking my water, started tracking again and because I had time did 120 minutes of exercise. Hope you are off to a great start. Blessed Easter! emoticon

    WELCOME Elizabeth to the DAWGGIE TEAM !! I've read your page,,,,, I'd NEVER want to discourage ANYONE for ANY reason. Over the 5 years,, I've seen quite a bit. One thing I've learned,, is that those who succeed in the long range,, are those who take excellent care of themselves. I am not sure if you've checked with your Dr about how many calories to take in,,, if not,, I'd suggest that. For instance I "THOUGHT" on my own,, I had STOPPED losing,, so I lowered my calories down to 1200. I DID Lose again,,, but, than it HIT THE WALL and I could NOT lose,, in fact,, I started to GAIN !! Than an injury and not being able to exercise,,, and yeah,, I was very discouraged,, what helps with that the MOST?? Well FAULTY thinking was "I can eat a bowl of chips (NOT A SMALL ONE ! ) etc,, and I put on 40 pounds in a SHORT TIME !

    My Dr had me speak to a dietician ,, who told me right off, I was NOT eating enough calories.. She had me UP it to 1550. I did so,,, that was in the end of Dec,, I am BACK to losing,,,, I've gone from 246 down to 228 I am on target exactly for where she wants me,, and I WANT to be.

    If we lose the weight to quickly ,, later on it can possibly come back on like GANG BUSTERS ! My dietician and the Dr's at the wound clinic have told me,, and many others,, to lose safely I should aim for 1 to 2 lbs a week. So that's the advice hon, I am sending on to you. Its NOT how FAST can I get to where I want,, the making it REAL for ourselves,, working on why we gained in the first place,, and facing the hurt we've been through around the weight gain. If we lose on an average 1.5 lbs (If we lose 1 to 2 lbs a week,, it averages out) we will lose approximately 75 lbs !! That's NOT SHABBY !!

    Lets not just focus on the ultimate goal, but along the way,, lets ENJOY ourselves,,,, become the woman we have ALWAYS wanted to be,, as a person. The weight,, yeah well,,, it's what we "look" like,,, how we FEEL about ourselves is WAY more important. I SURAH HOPE that' is NOT discouraging,, you will move along as ur body does,, just want to make sure you eat properly ,, exercise without getting hurt.
