I've been yo-yoing for over a year now. I used to be VERY overweight. I lost over 100lbs doing Weight Watchers in the early 2000's. Managed to keep it off for 4 or 5 years, and it started to creep back up on me :( ... I've gained about 40 back, and I really want to FEEL BETTER about myself. I'm trying to be serious about it. I used to work out almost every day, usually a couple of times a day. It actually got to the point some of my friends would describe as obsessive. I never gave up working out completely, but I certainly don't do nearly that much anymore.

I also quit smoking on August 12, 2009. Anyone who's tried to do this before (or who HAS done it) knows how difficult and stressful it can be -- especially when you're trying to lose, rather than gain weight. I'm going to do it this time!!!

Fitness Minutes: 625

My Goals:
- Strength train 2x a week
- Cardio 4x a week (for a total of at least 2 hours a week)
- Drink 8 glasses of water a day
- Limit unhealthy snacks
- Stay positive
- Become a non-smoker!

My Program:
I'm not following any particular program, just trying to be healthier right now. I probably won't track my food intake on here everyday, but I will try to at least jot things down as I eat them so I don't go overboard.

I'm not feeling the gym lately, so for now I'll be swimming and doing workout videos at home. Right now I switch it up between Turbo Jam, Carmen Electra's Fit to Strip, and Winsor Pilates (her ab workout videos are AMAZING).

Personal Information:
I'm from Ontario, Canada and I'm in my late 20's.

Other Information:
"People, you'll find, aren't usually all good or bad. Sometimes they're just a little bit good and a whole lot bad. And sometimes they're mostly good with a dash of bad. And most of us, well, we fall in the middle somewhere."

Hello! As I was reading your blogs I find myself amazed at how alike our thinking is. I felt like I was reading one of my blogs lol. In terms of the smoking - I gained ALOT of weight after quiting and sometimes think about starting again to help with the weight loss but then I think about how much easier it is to breathe when I don't smoke, and how much more exercise I'm able to do. And ...I don't stink anymore ha ha ha

Good Luck with the smoking and the weight loss - You have inspired me many times when I was home - You have way more motivation then me and often the only reason I was working out was because you were there with me. Even though we are furthur apart, we can still help eachother.

P.S Your blog is our little secret emoticon
