I have never been a small girl.

In high school I wore a size 12 and I always felt like a linebacker next to my friends. I have broad shoulders and a wide ribcage. I am only 5'6" tall and although I recognize that between 155 and 165 lbs. may sound at the high end of healthy, that's my ideal weight range.

In recent years I have settled in right around 200 lbs. I have gone over that slightly and I have dipped back down below. I start feeling sexy right around 180 lbs. When I get down to 160 lbs. I can fit back into size 12 jeans, which makes me feel like a million dollars. People talk about getting back to the size they were in high school...well, I can. It's within the range of the possible.

What do I want to accomplish along the way?

1) I want to be a more active person, seeking out activity six days a week.
2) I want to find more fitness activities that I can LOVE.
3) I want to learn how to eat healthier while still enjoying my favorite foods.
4) I want to become a decent ballroom dancer...and maybe, someday, I would let my husband try a "lift". Maybe.
5) I want to feel good about who I am, where I am and what I can accomplish. I don't want my fitness level to hold me back from anything,

I deserve to be a healthy, happy person. I am willing to work for it. Now I just need to take one day at a time and keep making good choices.

My Goals:
My goals are to lose 30-35 pounds, be more physically fit/active and become a better ballroom dancer.

My Program:
I am watching what I am eating, drinking my water and increasing physical activity to 5-6 times per week. Currently focusing on TurboJam and Slim in 6.

Personal Information:
I am a roleplayer, video gamer and unrepentant geek. I love renaissance festivals, haunted houses and rollercoasters. When I am not working long hours I enjoy water aerobics, taking ballroom dance classes with my guy and designing stained glass art.

Other Information:
Fitness is a challenge for me. I have a hard time finding activities I enjoy enough to stay motivated. I am open to suggestions for new activities. Favorites so far are Aquatic Kickboxing class, Aquatic Zumba, TurboJam and TaeBo (the original).

    Thank you so much for the goodie and kind words! Everyone that visits this place day in and day out is an inspiration to me, too! I've learned over time that consistent small changes add up a lot faster than inconsistent major overhauls. For me, anyway. :-)
