I've used Spark People before with great success and now Im back again. Im not here to lose weight this time - though it would be nice. Rather, Ive been diagnosed as hypoglycemic and need to make major changes in my diet. Currently, I'm unable to do much physically so I'll be reaching out for ideas as to what I can try. My wife is extremely supportive. My 7 fur babies help reduce my stress. I know I can succeed as long as I accept support and guidance. I have a lot to live for - and I want to live!

My Goals:
I would like to lose 50 lbs by the end of the summer. I am working on being more confident in myself and my abilities.


My Program:
My key things to accomplish are to eat more nutritious food and smaller portions. I aslo would like to develop a consistent exercise routine that includes aerobic as well as strength training. My last part of my program is to get out in nature and enjoy nature once again.



Personal Information:
Hi, my name is Karin and I am 46 years young. I live in PA with my partner and 4 cats. I was a social worker for 25 years before going out on disability 5 years ago. I am now working part time as a Rehabilitation Specialist. I also started and produce a performing arts group whose mission is to combat stigma related to mental illness and addictions. I love the outdoors and can't wait till I can enjoy them more. I have some limitations due to 3 total knee replacements and chronic pain but I have learned to live with the pain very well.
