Hello all! My name is Patricia; I am born and raised in Augusta, Georgia...which is known for nothing other than the annual Master's Golf Tournament. I am a scorpio, turning 25 in November 2011. I am a 911 dispatcher of 6 years now as well as an Avon lady for 6 years.

I do not have any children yet. I have been with the love of my life for 8 years and we have been engaged for the last two. We are obviously taking our time and enjoying each other..we have not set a date for the wedding yet.

I heard about Sparkpeople from a coworker/gym buddy of mine over a year ago. I glanced at the site once and it was a bit overwhelming. At the time, I was already a member of and I sincerely enjoyed that site. I finally joined last Thursday...July 7, 2011...when I got bored at work and decided to really explore the web site. I can really appreciate the fact that they give you workout and diet plans. It's a no brainer for beginners! And I am a bit of a competitive person and I loooove to see how long I can go at something, so these folks really hit the spot with the sparkpoints and Spark Streaks!

I have always had issues with my weight not being where I would like it to be, however, I have always been comfortable and confident with the body I'm in. i have always managed to keep myself right at the brink of just being extra plump and excessively overweight....I guess you could say, lol. I grew up in a family of obese women and I seen/see the health issues that they have to deal with and I never wanted to be like that. I remember being 8 years old and working on my own little exercise plan. Not in an unhealthy some little girls these days who starve themselves...I just always wanted to be as fit as possible.

When I became engaged two years ago...and the scale hit highest weight to hit me like a slap in the face. I didn't try any fad diets or anything outrageous...I just simply ate the correct amount of calories per day. Last August, I got down to 169lbs, a total of 41 pounds lost! Then BAM!!! I hit a huge plateau and for MONTHS could not get any lower than 175lbs. No matter how much I exercised or changed my routine..nothing worked. And I mean I stuck with it for months...until slowly I started getting back into my old habits of eating and not being active until I wieghed this morning and I am (wait for it...........) back at 200.5lbs!!!! HELP! lol

I had to take a fitness class in college and I will never forget the instructor teaching us that..everyone has their own weight...something they will pretty much be their entire lives...they may lose for a while or gain for a while but they will pretty much be stuck at one general weight. This is so depressing! And I did not want to believe it until I hit my plateau last year of 175lbs........that has been my general weight since I was 12 yrs old (until I got up to 210lbs thanks mostly to my sedentary job)!!! So I'm hoping that I will soon find the secret to my success and finally get to the weight I want to be and shatter that evil teacher's lies! LOL!

All I ask is to get to at least 150-155lbs! I"m not trying to be a supermodel!
