Well here I am. January 2010 and weighing 250 pounds.

How many times have I promised myself to never be here again, to do something about it, to make my health a priority? Too many times to count. How many times have I gotten close to that 200 pound mark with exercise and watching what I eat, only to learn that I didn’t learn anything from it and put the weight right back on? Enough times to know I can do it when I am focused and motivated.

This year is dedicated to loving myself for the cool chic that I am; loving the same me that all my beloved friends love. When I do that, then taking care of myself and buying longevity through my life choices will be easy. This year is also dedicated to learning the coping tools that will keep me from backsliding and allowing others to affect my efforts. In my journal last night I wrote that I am back to square one. Not really, square one was August 2006 and I weighed 270 pounds, just moved to Florida and left all my friends behind. Square one was a state of lonliness and depression. I am not back at square one and just for today, I will celebrate that and start moving forward again.

I am LadyinMotion and I am a Masterpiece in the making.

My Goals:
I'm on the new side of 42 and am dedicating this year to being FUN, FIT, and FABULOUS. When I turn 43 in December, I want people to say "No Way!"

My Program:
Portion control has been my nemesis in the past. Will focus on not eating too much of a good thing. Have also pledged to do some physical activity every day.

Personal Information:
Pam, living in Niceville, FL - on the beautiful emerald coast.

Other Information:
Courage does not always Roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."

The Greater the obstacle, the more glory in overcoming it. ~~Moliere

Love this quote (sorry I don't know who gets the credit.):

"If obesity does not kill me, it may prevent me from getting out of the way of something that will."
