Hi LadyDi and thank you for your sweet comments on my blog. I hope the mirror exercise does the trick and helps you get back on the walking wagon. The weather here is finally beginning to break, so I'm looking forward to adding another walk to my day, perhaps late afternoon.

Take care of yourself! I think of you just about every day and send you all the positive "you-can-do-it" I can find.

"Keep up the good work. You have my total support."

Thanks, Diana, for your understanding and for your kind words. (You have a gift for both, you know...)

Oh dear. By not giving you the whole story I think I may given you the wrong impression.

I recently received an unkind Spark mail regarding my blogs in general and my latest blog in particular. Ordinarily, I would not be disturbed by such a note, but it is the second one that has been sent to me since I joined Spark, so this one did bother me more than the first, especially since the author took me to task for nearly everything I've ever posted!

At any rate, this email is the reason I had begun to believe few people are interested in what I have to say.

I don't write blogs just to have others provide me positive feedback, although I am, of course, gratified when people receive help and inspiration from them. in fact, that is exactly why I DO write them. Because, in my soul, I am a teacher. I write to try to help others.

I understand many people find their blogging cathartic, as you described, and I am always grateful they gain peace, understanding and release by whatever method works for them. I'm not against that kind of blogging, I just don't (ordinarily) use blogs for that reason.

You wrote, "So if you are benefiting from writing don't give up." I do benefit, any time someone is encouraged to stop killing themsevles with food and sedentary living the way I was. I want us ALL to get out of the insanity.

You also wrote, "I know what you write resonates and helps others even if they don't post a comment." I appreciate that. But I'm not asking that folks comment on everything I write--I just wish they would refrain from sending emails that tell me I am harming people on Spark.

(When am I EVER going to learn how to type????)

Diana, your note on my blog could not have come at a more important time for me. Frankly, I had just about decided to give up blogging here on Spark because I didn't feel very many people are interested in what I have to say.

But your note has tipped the balance for me in the direction of at least trying to share how taking care of your health can change one's life in so many wonderful ways.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for reminding me that I really do want to spread the Spark by sharing the only way I know how--writing.

I saw the note you posted on my last blog after I posted again yesterday, so please pardon the delay in my response! I do appreciate your having stopped by to leave such a lovely comment.

Hope your Share the Hat Day went well. You know I think it's a great idea, letting others hear what you appreciate in them, so kudos to the Red Hat Brigade for doing exactly that.

You're a kind, lovely person, LadyDi. I wish I had more time to interact on a regular basis...
