January 2007 - 214 pounds, morbidly obese. I almost fell off my chair that day. I fought and struggled with my weight and life. I lost 75 pounds here getting down to 139 pounds. What I didn't do was deal with my emotional well being. Life has thrown me many challenges and I never took the time to grieve, time to heal and move past the intense guilt over circumstances that were completely out of my control. Without tending to my emotional well being, I regained 40 of those 75 pounds. So here I am...... been there, done that and back for more but differently. I've dealt with my demons, I'm finally at peace with horrific events in my life and am ready to become one of the 5% (those who keep the weight off). I accept there will be bad days in with the good, I accept that I am a work in progress but most importantly I accept who I am today. So, that's me in the nutshell, not perfect, just human, trying my best and placing one foot in front of the other in my personal 1000 mile journey. _________________________________

Thanks for the welcome! Seems like we have a really nice bunch of people in our group, can't wait to get to know everyone better! And my brain is percolating ideas for a team logo. But don't let that stop you if you come up with something!
