Hi I am Kylie, I am a first year teacher teaching grade 1 in a remote first nations reservation in nothern Alberta. I grew up in BC but lived for 4 years in Australia so this is very new terrain for me. I have used the stress, cold (bloody freezing up here), lack of anything to do all as excuses to gain 30 pounds. And when I arrived I had the goal of loosing 15 pounds, I though "there will be nothing else to do anyway". I was wrong....there was eating everything you have in front of the T.V to do and I did it.

My husband is very supportive and healthy. Before I met him I would never have cooked vegetables for myself...I didn't even know how to unless they were the frozen kind that you put in the microwave that no one really likes. He cooks all the meals and that really helps. What doesn't help is devorouring a bag of oreos afterwards and justifying it because I had such a healthy dinner. We have been apart for the last two weeks and have 64 more days to go so I am doing it all on my own! He made me promise not to live on Kraft Dinner and so far I am doing alright but nothing tastes as good as when he makes it.

With nothing to do out here but sit around and miss him I thought it was the perfect time to loose 45 pounds, it will help keep me busy and will be a nice treat for him when we meet up again. I don't have the typical excuse of not having enough time to work out. I have oodles of time. I literally only have something to do from 8-4 Mon-Friday and that it is (actually every 2nd Friday is a half day so we can go to town during business hours to cash our checks.) I live in the middle of nowhere, closest town is an hour away and I only go to it once every 2 weeks. My problem is I get so bored turn on the netflix watch 8 episodes of something and then I feel too lazy or tired or stressed or some other excuse I can think of at the time.

Well no more! All the support I can get would be greatly appreciated! I am excited to have joined this community; together we can do this!

My husband and I have a Great Dane crossed with a springer spaniel/shepard named Judge. He is our child; can't imagine life with out him. We also have 2 cats Jury and Justice.
