I remember when I would try to steal my mom's clothes in high school and early college. The shirts always fit (both of us had big boobs) and the pants always needed a belt to stay up because they were so huge on me. Almost three years later, things have reversed. I had a breast reduction to ease my back pain and then I started steadily gaining weight while I was away at uni. Now her shirts are too large and her pants are too small. It seems like a silly indicator, but it's the one that bothers me the most.

I used to love hiking with the boy scouts, rock climbing, and riding my bike. Now I seem to prefer sitting in front of the computer and wasting all day on the internet. I also seem to have *need* for sweets. Every day, I start craving sugar and the craving only stops when I have something overly sugary to eat or drink. Not cool, man.

Now is the perfect time to start eating well (and hopefully locally) and exercising. I recently finished college and since finding employment has proved near impossible, I have a completely open schedule. It's the perfect opportunity to get off my @$$ and learn to cook a different meal and go for a bike ride whenever I want. I'd like to be down to 130 lbs or below by this time next year. I know this will take time and lots of hard work, but I think I can get there.
