I'm a 44 year old mother of 2. I've battled my weight all my life and the older I've gotten the more medical issues I've had that have made weight loss ever harder, especially for someone over 40. I haven't given up though. I'm not expecting to look like a supermodel. I just want to be comfortable with myself, my health and live a long life with grandchildren and maybe even great grandchildren around. :)

Fitness Minutes: 1,320

My Goals:
My new weight loss goal is 70 pounds. By when? Who cares as long as it comes off.

I'm off the cigarettes and off the patches now. Cravings? Occasionally, but that's normal.

Have I started working out? UGH NO! I don't know what my issue is. Work is slowing down, used that as an excuse, but I may not have that crutch anymore. Need to soul search on this one.


My Program:
I'm eating fruits, vegetables, lean meats, whole grains. All so good for me and good food.

Figure out what my issue is with exercise. I know it's so good for me, especially with diabetes. What is it?



Personal Information:
I live in Missouri, born and raised. I'm married with two beautiful children. Kate will be 25 and Bobby just turned 12. They are the greatest children. They both have goofy wonderful senses of humor (they get that from me). I have a great job at MasterCard and have been there almost 7 years. I'm lovin' the Spark!


Other Information:
I'm a huge reader! I love series books the best. Since March, I've all the Twilight books, book 8 of the Women's Murder Club (James Patterson) and now I'm up to book 7 of the True Blood series. The most important book in my library though, is Your First Year with Diabetes. It's great, informative and motivational.

    Thanks for commenting on my blog! I think your 30 minutes of exercise are sufficient. I just happen to have the time to do more and am suffering from the empty nest syndrome. So I made exercising my new hobby. I'm enjoying it. All the exercise I do is low impact. I particularly like water aerobics and go to a class 5x a week. It's fun to meet new people at the gym. I sleep very well :)
